  • WHAT IS FIBER AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
The hollow siliconized fiber, also called 'wadding' is a fabric with which we "line" the foam rubber on the exposed sides. With this we obtain a very interesting double result: It improves the look or finish, as the corners are more rounded and smooth, making the cushion more beautiful and elegant, and it also helps to keep the fabric taut, so that it fits perfectly into the cover. It is also very useful because it makes it easier to insert and remove the panel lining as it allows it to slide more easily.
  • COLOR CHANGES ON FABRICS
It may happen that during the washing maintenance treatment the fabrics may slightly change color and tone. This is because the latest generation fabrics are dyed with colors that are not harmful to man and nature

  • WHICH MATERIAL IS BEST FOR OUTDOOR USE? WATER-REPELLENT CANVAS OR NAUTICAL FAUX LEATHER?
Both materials are suitable for outdoor use, because they have the main property needed for exposure to the sun: UV filters. Therefore, neither material is discolored or burned by the sun. The main difference between them is the feel. The water-repellent canvas feels like fabric, while the nautical leatherette feels like real leather. So the choice for one or the other will depend on personal taste. Finally, the water-repellent canvas can be machine washed and ironed at low temperature. Instead, the nautical imitation leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth and neutral soap. Therefore, depending on the use you will make of it, you may prefer one or the other.
  • ARE ALL FOAM MATTRESSES ON THE MARKET THE SAME QUALITY?
As with most industries, there are different grades of foam on the market. The highest quality foam is 100% pure foam. Other types of foam have additives, also called "fillers", that some manufacturers add during production that degrade the quality and performance of the foam. This means that the foam will deteriorate and break down faster than one without fillers. We only use foam that is free of fillers.
  • SHRINKAGE / WIDENING
Depending on the processing and the textures of the fabrics, there may be enlargements or shrinkages. For natural and vegetable fibers they are intrinsic characteristics, while for chemical fibers various factors can have an impact. Precisely for these reasons our fabrics are always wet and treated with special machinery before packaging them.
  • WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT A FABRIC IS WATER REPELLENT?
A fabric is water repellent when it has been subjected to a treatment that allows it to repel liquids, grease and stains. In the case of canvas, the specific treatment is called TEFLON. If the fabric gets stained, it is cleaned immediately with a damp cloth and the stain goes away. It is a fabric that can be machine washed and ironed at a low temperature. We work with waterproof canvas for exteriors and interiors and with stain-resistant or easy-to-clean interior coverings, so that maintenance is extremely simple.
  • LEGEND OF MAINTENANCE SYMBOLS
If you have doubts about the treatment of your fabric, always consult the symbols, do not make mistakes or always ask your trusted retailer
  • WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT A MATERIAL IS FIREPROOF?
Fireproof materials are so called because they do not promote the spread of flame in the event of a fire. This is why they are very suitable for public places or places with a high concentration of people (hotels, shops, shopping centers, fairs...). If you need them in addition to the fabrics, we can provide you with all the certifications that attest to the compliance of our materials with the various regulations.
